About Us

Join us in building cutting-edge digital tools that help medics save lives every day. At Muru, we tackle one of the largest problems faced by EMS—making medical decisions from guidelines that are scattered throughout multiple PDFs, printed documents, publishers, and websites. By building the “Siri of Protocols,” medics can now get the answers they need instantly, so every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Role Overview

Muru is seeking a Demo Specialist to support our presence at EMS-focused trade conferences. This contractor role is designed for a current paramedic who is comfortable engaging peers in the EMS community, demonstrating a mobile phone application, and representing the company professionally on the exhibit floor.

The Demo Specialist will leverage their real-world EMS experience to clearly explain the value and use cases of the Muru platform to clinicians, supervisors, and agency leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate the Muru mobile app to EMS professionals, including EMTs, paramedics, educators, and leadership staff
  • Provide demonstrations tailored to audience (ex. BLS & ALS demos)
  • Answer high-level product questions about the entire platform (beyond the app)
  • Represent Muru professionally and knowledgeably throughout the conference
  • Assist with booth setup and teardown, including organizing materials, light assembly, and packing
  • Support booth operations such as greeting attendees, managing demo flow, and directing technical or sales questions as needed
  • Capture informal feedback and common questions from conference attendees and relay them to the Muru team post-event
Required Qualifications
  • Current Paramedic, SOCM, PJ, 18D or equivalent certification
  • Comfortable speaking with peers and explaining a mobile app in a clear, practical manner
  • Professional demeanor, reliability, and strong interpersonal skills
Physical & Environmental Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during exhibit hours
  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 60 pounds individually or 120 pounds with a partner for a distance
  • Ability to assist with booth setup and teardown before and after conference hours
  • Comfortable working in a busy, public conference environment
Compensation

Standard conference - $2,000 (4 days on site)

Single day conference - $650

Travel on on-site days is subject to logistical considerations and will not change compensation.

Contractor Status

This role is offered on an independent contractor basis and does not include employee benefits. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and compliance with applicable laws. Reasonable travel accommodations will be provided by Muru. Engagements are scheduled per conference and are not guaranteed to be ongoing.

How to Apply

Anyone interested should submit their resume along with a brief video.

RESUME: Submit through our online application portal at the bottom of this page.

VIDEO: The video should be a short intro pitch — imagine you’re at a booth and someone from the prehospital care field walks up and asks, *“What is this?”* Your goal is not to give a full walkthrough, but to draw them in so that you can. Keep it **under 60 seconds**.
